- Ray,
-
- I suppose your reaction was caused by irritation due to the large
- cross-posting. Consider that you were trapped in that too, as your
- reply took the same way (and mine will too :-)). So, here I go:
- considering this has nothing whatsoever to do with 'Delphi', please
- etc...
-
- Now, seriously, I don't think that we must be upset by this kind of
- posting, as long as it is directed to developers (or envelopers to
- speak in their terms). They advertise a product which focuses on this
- market, but for which there's no newsgroup (yet). Considering that
- each tool has its own merits, I for one am not sticking to just one,
- and I use what goes easiest in a given situation. So, I speak
- assembler, C(++), Pascal, hell, even Basic, whatever seems most handy
- for a given job (although I must confess that it is 90% "Delphi" by
- now, the other 10% being 9% C and 1% Assembler for performance
- reasons, but I might just underestimate Delphi here). "Envelop" just
- fits well in this approach.
-
- I sincerely think that we can forgive them their enthusiasm to
- propagate their (very impressive, IMHO) product, but perhaps you
- missed just that tiny little information: THEY ARE GIVING IT AWAY FOR
- FREEEEEE!!! Yes, a true 32 bit "envelopment" environment. It does not
- cost too much to take a look (their connection is fast), I did, and
- really, I didn't believe my eyes! Not to speak from their
- responsiveness: I mailed them 3 (mostly stupid) questions by now, and
- got answers within hours...
-
- Cheers!
